WELCOME
The Asia Pacific Section of the Institute of Brewing and Distilling (IBD) invites you to be part of this memorable event taking place from Monday 20 March to Friday 24 March 2023 in Adelaide, Australia.
For the first time since Wellington 2018 we will finally reconnect with old friends and colleagues and create new friendships among members of our brewing and distilling communities, whilst being enlightened with the latest knowledge and new technologies developing in our industry.
This convention also has special meaning as we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the IBD Asia Pacific Section and our first ever convention - held in Adelaide back in 1953. We are honouring this milestone with our Convention theme: “Celebrating 70 years, embracing our history and innovating for a sustainable future”. We encourage our brewing and distilling community both local and abroad to adopt and share this theme during the convention.

The IBD Convention Committee has been working hard behind the scenes to create an educational and knowledge sharing Technical Programme for the upcoming 2023 convention.

The closest hotel to your convention venue is the Oval Hotel which is situated at Adelaide Oval. With only a small inventory of rooms, we recommend you book as early as possible.
Only a short walk over the footbridge from Adelaide Oval is the extraordinary and luxurious five star Eos by SkyCity. Adelaide Oval is situated right in the heart of the city, framed by the River Torrens and surrounding precinct. Its location is 400 metres from the CBD, just a few minutes’ walk across the Riverbank footbridge and is easily accessible to all public transport networks including train, bus and tram.
