Nedd Brockmann

Athlete & charity fundraiser

Nedd approaches each day as an opportunity to push through barriers and inspire and connect with others. He first caught Australia’s attention when at just 23 he ran across the country, completing the 3,953-kilometre route from Cottesloe to Bondi Beach in just 47 days. 

Most recently he ran 1,000 miles around the Sydney Olympic Park athletics track, which was streamed live on Tik Tok to 5 million people in 120 countries. His wrap-up video of this mammoth feat was viewed more than 25 million times. 

Through these physical challenges, Nedd has brought awareness to the issue of homelessness and raised more than $7 million for charity.

Mike Baird

Former NSW Treasurer & 44th Premier of NSW

During Mike's time in government, NSW recorded the fastest economic growth rate in the country, the lowest jobless rate and the budget went into surplus. Prior to his time in parliament Mike had a 30-year career in banking and financial services, including senior roles at NAB, Deutsche Bank and HSBC.  

Mike is passionate about looking after our community’s most vulnerable citizens and plays active roles in Bear Cottage and Southern Youth Family Services. He is also the Chair of Cricket Australia and The McKinnon Institute and sits on the Boards of Future Generation and KPMG.



Anja Pannek

CEO of the MFAA

Anja leads the peak body representing mortgage and finance brokers.  

With over 20 years in financial services, including leadership roles at PLAN Australia and NAB, Anja has a deep understanding of the broking industry. Since joining the MFAA in 2022, she has focused on empowering members to thrive and has championed the broking industry’s critical role in helping Australians achieve home ownership and financial security. 



Paul Bloxham

Chief Economist for HSBC

Paul is HSBC’s Chief Economist for Australia, New Zealand and Global Commodities, and was recently named by The Australian Financial Review as the top Australian economic forecaster for 2024.  

He often features on local and international business television and is a frequent contributor of opinion editorials to Australian newspapers. 

Paul is also an Adjunct Professor at Curtin University. Prior to joining HSBC in 2010, Paul spent 12 years as an economist with the Reserve Bank of Australia.
